Darwin Recruitment Celebrates New Office Move in Amsterdam

It’s been two years since Darwin Recruitment opened its first office in Amsterdam. After meteoric success and with a view on further in-country expansion the business has moved to a larger and more prestigious location.

Darwin’s first local office based in mainland Europe opened in Amsterdam this time two years ago. It’s a fitting time therefore that, in a record breaking month, it announced its move to new premises to afford more space to accommodate their fast-growing business. With a current staff of 18, serving multiple repeat business clients, the Amsterdam team celebrated its 350th deal on the day they moved.

Remaining in Amsterdam’s stylish business district located in the centre of the Amsterdam Zuidas, Derk Rijntjes, Country Manager, comments on their achievements so far “It’s all about the team. We have a fantastic bunch of people working in Amsterdam.  We built the team from scratch, some were new to recruitment and trained in the UK, others more experienced. Working together we have organically grown a business that we’re very proud of.  Next year we plan to have 35-40 people here”.

The Amsterdam Zuidas is multicultural and resembles a city within a city. With good connections to the rest of Europe it’s ideally placed to serve the 13 key locations on Darwin’s target list. Daniel Mulholland, CDO and Joint Founder of Darwin says “We’ve been doing business in The Netherlands for 13 years, but setting up office there was an entirely different challenge which has been an outstanding success.  It has surpassed my expectations and only served to fuel our plans to open up in further new locations”.

With plans firmly underway for Germany and Sweden, and Switzerland already up and running, Darwin is strategically set up to grow market share. Darwin announces its end of year results in October but can confidently reveal double-digit growth.
