IChemE names NES Global Talent as sole approved Global Recruitment Partner

The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) has named NES Global Talent as its approved Global Recruitment Partner in an exclusive three-year deal.

As part of the partnership, technical manpower provider, NES Global Talent, will share its global chemical engineering vacancies through a range of IChemE media including The Chemical Engineer Magazine (tce), websites, social media platforms and direct communication with 38,000 members worldwide. NES Global Talent will also attend and participate in IChemE events and conferences around the world providing essential intelligence on employment trends and job opportunities for chemical engineers.

Dr. David Brown, IChemE CEO, said: “Employment prospects for chemical engineers worldwide have improved markedly over the last 18 months.  Securing the talent pipeline for the process industries is a vital part of IChemE’s mission and we delighted to be teaming up with NES Global Talent in order to fill global vacancies with skilled professional chemical engineers. Our members are in demand in a diverse range of chemical, biochemical and process engineering roles.  IChemE membership is an internationally recognised and respected badge of competence. NES Global Talent will provide an excellent platform for candidates seeking positions in all parts of the world.”

Neil Tregarthen, CEO of NES Global Talent, said: “We’re proud to be named as the IChemE’s approved Global Recruitment Partner. Chemical engineering has always been a key discipline within our talent solutions and we have worked closely with the IChemE for many years. I look forward to developing this relationship further and, of course, to using our global footprint to our mutual advantage in the future.”

Earlier this year, NES Global Talent was named as Recruitment Agency of the Year in the Oil & Gas Awards Gulf Coast 2012, which recognises the company’s success in delivering challenging staffing projects, excelling in the quality and efficiency of services offered and demonstrating outstanding market expertise. Since then, the company has been commended or reached the finals of a number of additional key industry awards.

Neil continued: “2012 was one of the most successful years in our 35-year history and 2013 is set to be even better. This continued success is largely due to our focus on our value proposition & lsquo;guaranteed staffing solutions, engineered from the global talent pool by discipline specific consultants’, which highlights our ongoing commitment to delivering an exceptional service to both clients and candidates. Our global network of more than 35 offices has been opened strategically to mirror the geographical footprint of our key clients, meaning we can deliver the challenging staffing projects that others cannot.”

In February 2013, IChemE launched the Chemical Engineering Matters report.  The report, which sets out the central role of the chemical engineer in delivering sustainable energy, water, food and healthy living solutions, reinforces the need to provide high-quality professional development, training and support for the chemical engineering community.

“Improved access to employment opportunities is always near the top of the IChemE member’s wish list”, said David. “Through its new partnership with NES Global Talent, IChemE will be well placed to meet this demand on an international basis,” he concluded.
