Laurence Simons appoints new EMEA Managing Director

International legal recruitment specialist Laurence Simons has appointed Chris Cayley as Managing Director for their EMEA region, working from their London HQ.

Chris Cayley will report into both John Rose, Chief Executive of the FiveTen Group and Naveen Tuli, Global Managing Director of Laurence Simons. Chris will focus on the growth of Laurence Simons’ operations across the EMEA region. Laurence Simons has offices in eight locations across EMEA and 14 offices worldwide.

The new EMEA Managing Director joins with 17 years’ legal recruitment experience. Having qualified as a solicitor in 1992, Chris worked in practice for CMS Cameron McKenna before moving to legal recruiters QD in 1996, where he became an Associate Director. He was promoted to Director at TMP Legal (now Hudson) shortly after its acquisition by TMP Worldwide.

In 2003 Chris co-founded legal recruitment company First Counsel where he was responsible for setting up an in-house counsel recruitment team, covering a variety of positions including General Counsel, Head of Legal and Legal Director, as well as recruiting partners for leading law firms.

Chris also serves as a Non-executive Director for 10:10, a not for profit climate change organisation based in Camden working on carbon reduction projects.
