London presence for emerging specialist

Fast growing Oxfordshire-based specialist recruitment consultancy Millar Cameron has just opened a new London office in Victoria, headed up by Ed King.

Established in 2007, Millar Cameron quickly established itself as a recruitment consultancy that thrived on a challenge, taking on demanding assignments in some of the most challenging parts of the world such as Iraq and Afghanistan – places where other recruitment consultancies really feared to tread. This willingness to tackle difficult recruiting challenges combined with a problem-solving approach have led to a natural focus for the business on developing countries and emerging markets worldwide. The geographies and sectors involved – from West Africa to the rain forests of South America and the Far East, from agribusiness to food production, construction and logistics – present very particular challenges and Millar Cameron’s ability to find good quality people prepared to work in often highly demanding conditions have made them an invaluable part of the HR function for an increasing number of international blue-chip organisations.

Managing Director, Conor O’Callaghan commented “Having always personally relished recruiting into challenging and emerging markets, I decided to build up a recruitment consultancy around exactly that. We’ve found that Millar Cameron’s market and geographical focus has been very successful in attracting the right type of recruitment consultant into our business. Of course, it’s also good for business when you help clients overcome some of their most difficult HR challenges. We’re becoming known for it, hence the need for another office in London.”
