New website for GCS
In line with the recent company rebrand, GCS has launched a new website at www.gcsltd.com. The overhaul of the site prioritised combining usability, functionality and a clean design that is more closely aligned to the new GCS brand.
Marketing Manager, Daniel Evans, who has worked within recruitment for eight years commented "Recruitment is an industry where there isn’t just one key customer group. Therefore, you need a website that appeals equally to clients, candidates and prospective employees, and that is why we spent so much time understanding the customer journey. We wanted a site that reflected the look and feel of our new brand whilst providing a logical and engaging user experience".
The new website utilises a Responsive Web Design to ensure that it can be viewed easily on any device and features a job search function, online timesheets for contractors, expert recruitment advice for clients and candidates, and a business blog with contributions from both GCS Directors, the Head of GCS Technology and GCS Ireland's Business Manager.
From the homepage the site offers three market-specific areas for customers, representing GCS' Technology, Engineering and Financial Services divisions. Other highlights include a profile of nearly all of GCS’ staff and an explanation as to the company’s unique approach to social media with its @gcsrecruitment Twitter account. The site also includes a section dedicated to its internal recruitment efforts, with videos and blogs showcasing what a career at GCS entails.
"It made sense to integrate our award-winning Careers microsite into the main site" says Evans. "It is important that prospective employees have access to as much information as possible about the company before they decide to apply. Not only that, as a business that prides itself on its people, it gives us an opportunity for us to be transparent about how seriously we take the recruitment, training and retention of our own people".
