Rob Webb in new & lsquo;gap Wales’ role
gap personnel are pleased to announce the promotion of Rob Webb to Operations Director (Wales) with immediate effect.
This new role will see Rob:-
• Assume overall P L responsibility for all of gap’s branches in Wales
• Lead the ambitious growth plans we have for South Wales
• Identify key strategic business relationships with Welsh partners
• Develop the overall “ Pan Wales” proposition for gap personnel, moving towards £25m annual sales
Rob, (32) the youngest of gap’s senior management team, is a happily married father of three little girls, Arabella (8), Halli (2) and recent addition Farrah (nearly 1).
In his previous life, Rob played rugby for the Royal Navy and The Combined Services Team and also made appearances for Rhiwbina RFC, Llanishan RFC and the famous Newport Saracens!
Now, he’s an avid CrossFit enthusiast, training regularly for gap personnel’s upcoming Director’s Charity Challenge which is to climb the 3 Peaks.
CEO Gary Dewhurst added, “Mark Roberts (MD) and I headhunted Rob 12 months ago, as we felt he had the ideal attributes to lead gap Wales.
This appointment is critical to the company’s overall growth plan, as Wales is where gap originated from back in 1997 and we will always consider this our “heartland.”
Now that he has also pioneered our growth journey in South Wales, opening branches in Cardiff & Newport and importantly, developing a good team underneath him, we feel this is the ideal time for Rob to assume overall control and to help gap Wales become famous as its’ own brand!”
