SME celebrates multi-million pound company success just four years after start-up

What started out with a business plan and just three staff in a small office in Didsbury in 2009, is now a hugely successful and reputable fully established IT recruitment company. Venturi Group has gone from strength to strength from their initial start-up four years ago and currently has a projected annual turnover of &pound5million. Now based in larger premises in Wilmslow, the company employs 24 staff, including 14 consultants, two back-office staff, 2 apprentices and a social media manager. In the past year alone, there have been four in-house promotions to senior management. Entrepreneur Brad Lamb decided to branch out after being in the recruitment industry for a number of years as a recruiter himself. He teamed up with Sales Director James Doyle and Business Co-ordination Manager Liza Brookes to start planning a strategy to move his ideas forward. Private Equity Investor Keith Jones was impressed by the business proposal and decided to seed-fund the ambitious start-up. The ambitious trio decided on a different approach to recruitment and decided to develop a niche IT recruitment firm, concentrating on emerging IT markets as well as traditional IT staffing. After intense research into the IT recruitment market, they discovered a huge demand for IT professionals, especially in business intelligence. Venturi has won prestigious awards this year, including CSR awards for their dedication to corporate and social responsibility and also three industry BestFor recruitment awards. Due to the huge success of the UK business, Venturi has branched out into the Dutch IT recruitment market and has started up another branch: Venturi Netherlands. Venturi constantly invests in their people and uses the best of cutting edge technology to ensure that their team are equipped with the necessary digital recruitment tools to produce good results. In the past year alone, they have implemented Bullhorn Reach, Cube

19 and LinkedIn Recruiter. The company are dedicated to training and education and offer accredited qualifications in sales and business administration. In-house training includes NLP excellence coaching and extensive on-going learning and development strategies. Venturi believes that keeping the business people-centric has been the key to building a successful SME.
