StaffLearn Success Drives Growth of L&D Team at Staffgroup

Due to the success of Staffgroup’s Learning and Development function, StaffLearn, the company are delighted to welcome a new addition to the team.  Josie Ney, who has been with the company for almost two years will assist David Curtis with the on-boarding of new consultants and on-going classroom and floor based training for existing employees at Eurostaff and Earthstaff.

David Curtis, Head of Learning & Development at Staffgroup, is delighted to welcome Josie to his team:

“Josie is a fantastic addition to the Learning and Development team here at Staffgroup. Having been with the company for 21 months working as a Senior Recruitment Consultant and Relationship Manager at Earthstaff and Eurostaff, she has considerable experience across multiple areas of our business and has built strong relationships at all levels of the organisation. Her experience and knowledge will prove invaluable as we continue our hiring and development strategy for the remainder of 2013,  going into 2014.  We’re committed to developing our staff and offering varied career options within the recruitment industry and Josie’s new role demonstrates this.”

It has been eight months since Staffgroup launched StaffLearn and during this time seven & lsquo;cohorts’ have benefited from the embedded training programme. Recruitment Essentials which is dedicated to all of the new recruits to the business has been a great success says David:

“30 of our rookies in both London and Berlin have closed their first deals within two or three months of joining us. The top performers on the programme are already competing with some of our more established consultants which is an exceptional achievement considering many have been working in recruitment for less than a year. It is also testament to the entire management team working together to realise the vision of both StaffLearn and our business as a whole.”

StaffLearn has also created clear career paths for the consultants, allowing them to identify and work towards the career they want. The career options have been aligned to all of the training that they receive and each contains core competencies and objectives that gives transparency as to how to be successful within the group.  Reflecting on this year so far and looking to the future, David adds:

& lsquo;I am proud of what StaffLearn and the company has achieved in such a short space of time. I am extremely excited about what the future holds for the programmes and can only see it progressing onwards and upwards. It is certainly an exciting time to be working at Staffgroup.’

David Curtis will be speaking at Recruitment International’s Number 1 Recruiter to Work For event on the 19th September.
