Castlerock appoints new BDM

Castlerock Recruitment Group (CRG) the Merseyside-based recruitment and health service provider, has bolstered its business development team with the appointment of a highly experienced industry expert.

Paul Allen, 59, joins CRG’s corporate services office in St Helens as group strategic business development manager, with responsibility for driving the firm’s business development in new markets and existing sectors across the UK.

Originally born in Devon, Allen, who now lives in Swansea, joins from Tascor Medical Services, where he served as a forensic medical contract manager. He brings extensive experience to CRG, having worked in the industry for more than 25 years. During that time he undertook strategic roles at a number of prominent recruitment agencies, such as United Medical Recruitment and Med-Co Europe, where he was business development manager for seven years.

He said: “My initial focus at CRG will be the development of healthcare and related services within secure environments, such as HM Prisons and Police custody. The aim is to position and deliver services across the entire sector – from locums and nursing, through to bidding for NHS-commissioned provider contracts.

“I’m looking forward to helping develop CRG’s existing customer base, while bringing its services to new areas and sectors.”

Ian Munro, CEO of CRG, added, “We’re delighted to welcome Paul on board. This is another important step forward in CRG’s development, as we look to enhance our presence in the secure market. We’re confident that he will prove to be a valuable asset to our team and will undoubtedly bring additional skills to the table.”

Established in 2000, CRG is a health service provider and recruitment group. With an annual turnover of &pound20 million a year, the company specialises in the supply of qualified nursing and healthcare staff, domiciliary care services and supported living, together with medical locums, GPs, allied health professionals and health science services staff. It currently employs 120 from its headquarters in Merseyside.
