Darwin Recruitment announces new board
Darwin the specialist European IT and telecommunications recruitment company has appointed a new board to see it through its next growth phase.
Darwin Recruitment has appointed Miles Hunt, who succeeds David Higgins, as their new non-executive chairman.
Hunt is the chairman of APSCO, the recent winner of the APSCO Award for Individual Contribution, and is also chairman of Serocor.
He was previously CEO of Empresaria Group plc, the company that he founded in 1996. Simon Lawton will also join the Board and succeeds David Northey as Non-Executive Finance Director. Lawton holds a number of other Non-Executive and Executive Director positions. Both bring a wealth of international recruitment experience to help Darwin with their expansion plans into Europe.
A further addition to the board includes Alf Davis as chief operations officer. Davis comes with wide experience of the European IT recruitment sector having spent 13 years with Modis International, both pre and post its acquisition and integration into the Adecco group.

David Higgins and David Northey have stepped down from their posts after 3 years of guiding Darwin through their most successful period so far. “We thank David and David for the tremendous support they have given us. Their guidance has helped Darwin establish a solid international presence and overseen the formation of our Senior Management team,” Kirby added.
