GPW Recruitment raises over 200 for Macmillan
The team, named the GPW Warriors, consisted of Anna Leslie, Jess Hunt, Mark Parish and Gary Ward.
They completed the challenge, held at Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire, on Saturday 5th October, in 3hrs and 20mins,
The charity fundraiser was designed by British Special Forces comprises tough 10-12 mile obstacle courses, which only 78% of entrants successfully finish.
Some of the obstacles the GOW Warriors conquered to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support included the “cage crawl”, “electroshock therapy”, “mud mile” and the terrifying “walk the plank”.
Anna Leslie commented, “After being a spectator at last year’s Tough Mudder it was my goal to complete this year’s event&hellipmy determination, dedication and weekly visits to boot camp helped me achieve this and made it an enjoyable experience. The whole team pulled together & had a great day. We can’t wait for Tough Mudder 2014&hellipwe may even go wild and get a season pass!,”
Gary Ward, operations manager, said, “We all had a brilliant day the highlight has to be trawling through the deep mud. We are all looking forward to entering next year’s event.”
