McLean Partnership launches interim management practice
The practise will aim to fill key roles as the economic recovery gains pace and complement the London and Edinburgh based firm’s expertise in executive search and management consulting.
Addressing the launch event for The McLean Partnership’s Interim Management Practice, Alun Griffiths, executive director & group HR director of Atkins Global, said, “Interim Managers are set to play a vital role in industry – especially in a changing global economic landscape. The ability to bring in an Interim Manager – often at the senior executive level – enables a business to up-skill in the short term so as to cover a specific task”.
Leading expert, Chris Bernard, formerly managing director of Randstad Interim Executives, joins The McLean Partnership as a board member to head up the new practice, bringing 20 years’ experience of interim management and senior executive talent recruitment.
Speaking on the appointment of Bernard, Nick Gebbie, chief executive of The McLean Partnership said: “We are delighted to have attracted the leading Interim Management specialist in the UK market at an important stage in the expansion of our advisory business. The economic picture is still tight but there are signs of recovery and Interim Managers are a flexible resource for companies to manage change and growth. Projects such as a restructuring, M&A or those with uncertain outcomes, for example, developing a new market or staffing a bid team lend themselves to the Interim model”.
Commenting on her new role Bernard said, “It’s really exciting to join Nick Gebbie and the McLean team for the launch of their new Interim Management business. We share similar ethics, values and approach to offering a bespoke, independent and integrated advice and solutions to our clients. I am thoroughly looking forward to working with my colleagues in our Search and Consulting businesses to offer a full offering across Interim Management, Executive Search and Consulting and a best in class service for clients and candidates.”
