National Locums given platinum audit award
National Locums, the specialist Milton Keynes-based recruitment agency providing locum doctors and senior healthcare professionals to NHS and independent hospitals, GP surgeries and clinics throughout the UK has been awarded platinum status following an official audit.
The audit, carried out on behalf of the NHS, checked that National Locums was consistently and stringently maintaining a series of compliance standards before supplying hospitals with staff.
The validations included checking whether locum doctors were fully qualified had undertaken mandatory annual training were cleared under official security checks, including the Criminal Records Bureau 10-year employment history hospital and employer references and annual NHS approvals.
Explains National Locums director Natalie Cook: “It is absolutely essential that any doctors we put forward to the NHS and our other healthcare clients are thoroughly validated, and we have rigorous systems in place to do just that”.
The official auditors awarded National Locums Platinum status – the top ranking - providing hospitals with the maximum-possible assurance that any doctor supplied by the agency is thoroughly vetted and qualified.
National Locums was set up in 2009 by brothers David and Glenn Cook and their wives Jen and Natalie. The company has since grown rapidly, and is now one of Britain’s leading agencies providing senior medical professionals.
