Oasis HR welcomes new board members and investment

Oasis HR, the multi-award winning HR Recruitment Consultancy, is delighted to announce two new exciting additions to its board, Miles Hunt as chairman and Simon Lawton as non executive finance director. The two of them bring a wealth of experience to help Oasis HR continue the strong double digit growth it has enjoyed over the last four years, whilst also offering extensive expertise as the business looks to enter new international markets.

Miles and Simon have invested in the business through Benula Capital, an investment company within the business services sector with particular focus on human capital and HR related businesses. This investment runs parallel to Oasis HR moving into a new, significantly larger central London office enabling it to strengthen its UK presence as the HR market continues to improve.

Miles Hunt has enjoyed tremendous success in the international recruitment market, notably founding the Empresaria Group in 1996. Over the course of 15 years he developed the company from a start up operation with two employees to an AiM listed international staffing, training and outsourcing group with over 100 offices in 20 countries. Miles is also Chairman of APSCo and his achievements have been recognised with awards including Staffing Industry Entrepreneur of the Year (Recruitment International), Individual Contribution to APSCo (2013 APSCo Awards for Excellence) and National Finalist with the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

Simon Lawton has an extensive track record as a finance director in rapidly growing entrepreneurial businesses, notably Tribal Group Plc which he helped grow with Henry Pitman over ten years from a start-up to a &pound250m services business.

Jeremy Thornton, co-founder of Oasis HR comments, “Having won five significant industry awards over the last 18 months, including Recruitment Consultancy of the Year at the recent 2013 Recruitment Business Awards, we are absolutely delighted to be welcoming Miles and Simon onto the board, creating what we believe is the strongest senior management team within the HR Recruitment sector. Having worked with Miles as a non-executive director over the last 18 months and more recently Simon, we were delighted to increase their engagement within the business allowing us to fast-track our plans for continued growth.”
