Omega Resource Group celebrates long term deal with Laithwaite's Wines
Top Gloucestershire recruitment company, Omega Resource Group, is celebrating as a 5 year contract is signed with leading wine distributor Laithwaite's Wines.
Omega Resource Group and Laithwaite's Wines have been in partnership since 2009 when the recruitment business was engaged to deliver the warehouse staffing contract with the wine distributor. Since then, Omega has delivered outstanding results and expanded its relationship with the addition of the Call Centre contract. Such is the confidence in Omega that Laithwaite's Wines have now committed to a long term contract worth around £15 million further demonstrating the progressive partnership.
That such a large and successful business puts its trust in Omega Resource Group is testament to the recruitment company's knowledge of the industry and skill in placing the perfect candidates. The contract will see Omega filling around 400 roles, with approximately 250 workers on the shop floor and a further 160 in the call centre.
Andy Hawker, head of customer fulfillment at Laithwaite's Wines, commented, "At the heart of Laithwaite's award winning business is good customer service - Omega understands this and wider aspects of our operation making them the ideal partner. Since 2009 Omega has striven to protect and promote our brand - this is a true partnership founded on mutual respect that we intend to nurture for years to come."
Omega's continued innovation includes the successful implementation of a & lsquo;Best Fit' recruitment strategy, particularly important to the crucial peak period leading up to Christmas. This approach has been critical in driving down attrition, with Omega delivering the lowest attrition rates Laithwaite's Wines has seen. Both attendance and performance has significantly improved, leading to a stronger, more motivated team. Such good work has helped to deliver excellent customer service as well as creating valuable cost savings.
Keen to promote progress at Laithwaite's Wines, Omega invested in securing NVQ training funding to ensure their employees have the necessary tools to create great results. Over three years Omega has helped 200 temporary staff undergo training with an investment figure of around £200,000.
Mark Capon, head of communications for Laithwaite's Wines expressed his delight at the new contract, adding that "Omega puts us, the customer, at the forefront of what they do and how they do it&hellipas if we were their only client."
Raymond Pugh, group director of Omega Resource Group, commented, "We are thrilled to continue working in partnership with Laithwaite's Wines and helping them attract the very best talent. We look forward to continue driving growth and supporting their business as one of the leading wine businesses in the UK."
