Online tool launched to aid graduate recruitment
A new online recruitment tool has been launched this week to help address the long-standing issues surrounding graduate employment. The platform – Proceed – is designed to assist entry level candidates in getting their first role within the legal, company secretarial, compliance, governance and risk sectors. Employers, on the other hand, can benefit from unprecedented access to a pool of the brightest talent.
The platform is fully endorsed by ICSA (the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators), the international qualifying and Membership body for the Chartered Secretary profession and a recognised authority on corporate governance and compliance.
Commenting on the launch, David Press a director at Proceed, says, “According to recent reports, graduate recruitment levels across the UK are climbing. However, with the latest official statistics showing more than a million 16 to 24 year olds not in education, employment or training graduate employment remains a hot topic.
“For young people moving into any profession, getting a foot on the first rung of the career ladder can be the most difficult step they have to make in their entire working life. Proceed offers hirers the flexibility to browse entry-level candidates at their leisure with a view to placing graduates into legal, company secretarial, risk, compliance, legal or governance roles. The fact that it is a membership subscription service enables companies to take on as many graduates as they need without incurring any expensive recruitment fees, allowing employers the opportunity to train and develop educated talent while safeguarding the future of their profession.”
Simon Osborne FCIS, ICSA’s chief executive, says, “We at ICSA are happy to support "Proceed". It is of obvious benefit to students to secure work experience in relevant roles, and "Proceed" promises to be an excellent way for them to be able to do this.”
