Penmac Staffing appoints new CEO
Penmac Staffing has named Tim Massey as chief executive officer
Paula Adams will continue to serve as the company's president
Penmac Staffing Services, Inc. announced today that it has named Tim Massey as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Paula Adams had previously held the title of CEO and President. Massey will now serve as CEO, with Adams continuing to oversee daily operations as President.
"Penmac is ready for a new vision of growth and an outside perspective," Adams said. "We will be leaning on Tim's experience and expertise to grow Penmac. I am excited to see what the future holds for Penmac with Tim's leadership."
Massey has more than 18 years of experience in the staffing industry. He most recently served as Executive Vice President of Paramount Staffing, where he managed sales and operations for the southeast United States.
Massey said joining Penmac was an easy decision. "Penmac has established itself as a leader not only in staffing, but also in the communities it serves. Couple that with a strong opportunity for growth, and I am excited to join the team."
Speaking of his vision for the company, Massey said, "Penmac is well known in Missouri and surrounding areas. For 25 years, the company has built a strong foundation on placing people first. We will build on that solid foundation to strengthen our standing in current markets while exploring growth opportunities in new locations as well."
Founder Patti Penny will continue to serve as Chairwoman of the Board, a position she has held since retiring at the beginning of 2012. From a small office and one customer, Penny grew Penmac into one of the nation's premier providers of temporary staffing services for the manufacturing, light industrial, clerical and transportation industries.
Today, the employee-owned company provides staffing services to more than 1,800 business customers, and employed over 18,000 people in 2012. Headquartered in Springfield, Missouri, Penmac operates 29 branch locations in Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Georgia and Virginia, and provides additional staffing services in Tennessee, North Carolina and Wisconsin.
