Professional Passport announces onshore compliance

Following the update on offshore employment intermediaries the company will be formally confirming the onshore compliance of its umbrella members’ arrangements.

Furthermore Professional Passport is pleased to confirm that this verification is also covered by its &pound5m insurance providing the only insurance backed accreditation and confirmation in the market. This cover is available to all recruitment companies who are members of Professional Passport and use an approved provider.

On the launch of this Crawford Temple Managing Director of Professional Passport commented: "Whilst this new legislation will place an additional administrate burden on the recruitment companies in maintaining records we are pleased that we are able to remove the burden of due diligence and provide the confirmation that all recruiters are now seeking."

He went on to say: "Part of Professional Passport's processes from day 1 has been to only work with onshore providers. We have had many arguments with providers who would like our compliance verification but have some link, whether formal or informal, to an offshore arrangement and therefore we have declined to work with them."

Professional Passport's approved umbrella providers will shortly be displaying an additional logo on the site to demonstrate this verification. This will link to their listing on the site. Only providers listed on the approved provider pages of the site have a current and valid audit in place.

Recruitment companies can enquire about becoming members by either contacting Professional Passport directly or talking to a Professional Passport approved provider that they use.
