RHR celebrates 25th year
The company is celebrating its 25-year anniversary making it the longest standing recruitment business specialising in the retail industry.
Established in 1988, RHR has grown from just one founding employee to now employing 100 members of staff across its branch network and recruiting and advising for some of the country’s most recognised brands such as Debenhams, Arcadia, Word Duty Free, New Look, House of Fraser, Nandos, Tesco and Gap.
Since its inception 25-years ago, RHR has been awarded a two-star accreditation from Best Companies and featured in the 2008 Sunday Times Top 100 SMEs. It has also held an & lsquo;Investors in People Award’ since 1995 and has been accredited with the ISO9001 mark – a sign which underpins the company’s reputation for providing high-quality service to its clients, applicants and suppliers. What sets the company apart from its competitors is that it conducts face to face interviews with candidates – a practice which is rare in today’s recruitment marketplace.
In addition to advising and recruiting on campaigns for various roles within the retail industry, including retail managers, buyers, merchandisers and HR professionals, RHR has since set up two additional divisions. & lsquo;Hospitality & Leisure Recruitment’ provides tailored advise and recruitment services for hotel managers, chefs and pub & restaurant management and & lsquo;Together Communications’ delivers a range of advertising, marketing and creative campaigns for sectors including charities and social care. The creation of these services enhances RHR’s mission to become and reaffirm itself as the most effective supplier of recruitment and selection services to the retail and leisure industries.
The company was one of the first recruitment consultancies in the UK to embrace the internet in the early to mid-90s. To make use of what was then a new phenomenon, RHR launched www.inretail.co.uk and for many years that followed, owned the market leading recruitment site.
