Search Consultancy appoints associate director
Watson has been charged with growing and developing the construction (White Collar), building services and facilities management divisions, including civil engineering and mechanical engineering.
He will direct and lead the divisions, aiming for profitable expansion and looking at how Search can capitalise on emerging markets.
Watson will also work on developing the organisation’s presence across the city, while working within Search branches in Liverpool, Manchester and Crawley, covering both temporary and permanent recruitment.
He will focus on management of budgets, and the training and development of 18 consultants, numbers of which he expects to see a significant rise in.
Watson joined Search this month and brings 10 years of experience to the role of associate director.
He trained previously as a specialist executive recruiter/headhunter and over the last decade has gained extensive market experience within various sectors, headhunting for mid to senior appointments.
He dealt with clients including BP, Shell and Centrica, in the Construction, Engineering, Marine and Subsea, Oil and Gas, Renewable Energy sectors.
Throughout his recruitment career, he has managed large sales teams, completed and managed a wide variety of assignments for UK and international clients, while also developing brand strategy and a wider market presence.
