Bromak strengthens h&s services
The training and recruitment specialist, which is already recognised by the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS), is now accredited by Safety Management Advisory Services (SMAS) and the NHBC’s scheme Safemark.
Member organisations of both schemes have access to regulatory updates, support and technical advice to ensure the quality of their output.
Bromak has also been approved for Constructionline, an online database of pre-qualified contractors, suppliers and subcontractors. Companies must fulfill strict criteria, particularly in health and safety training, in order to be listed.
Dave Brooks, managing director of Bromak, said, “We are committed to increasing our expertise in health and safety to complement our growing service.
“Health and safety should be treated as a core business activity and although the onus is really on the main contractor to ensure the health and safety of staff, individual workers and the agency supplying the workers should share this burden and do all they can to prevent accidents from happening.
“The new accreditations not only recognise our skills in health and safety, but also mean that we will be able to share knowledge which will strengthen our service.”
Bromak offers a comprehensive range of construction and industry-related training programmes, including health & safety, management and Construction Skills accredited courses. The company is fully CITB accredited and can provide all of the courses within the Construction Skills Framework.
