DAC Beachcroft advises on sale of Pathology Groups entire share capital
International law firm DAC Beachcroft LLP has advised the founders of leading medical recruitment business The Pathology Group on the sale of its entire share capital to a PE-backed healthcare staffing business.
The deal, which closed last month, saw a DAC Beachcroft team, led by London Corporate Partner Steven Raize, advise founders Louie Evans and Zack Feather, who set up the specialist recruitment company seven years ago.
The deal comes after DAC Beachcroft's London Corporate team achieved a Tier One ranking for M&A deals worth up to £50m in key professional guide, the Legal 500, in which it was also praised for its 'deep knowledge of the recruitment sector and the issues pertinent to these businesses’.
Steven Raize was supported on the deal by John Dunlop (Partner, Tax), Richard Martin, Lucy Tyrrell and Erica Newman.
He commented, "Our involvement on this significant deal (having previously advised on the sale of Team24) further cements the firm's growing reputation in the recruitment sector, in which it is recognised as a leading adviser to major companies. We have seen a renewed appetite for M&A in recent months and this can only be good news for the sector as a whole."
Louie Evans/Zack Feather, the founders of The Pathology Group, said, "We are delighted to have worked with DAC Beachcroft in the sale of our business. Their expertise in the recruitment market and professionalism has been outstanding, and they have added significant value throughout the entire process. They are a very safe pair of hands and one that we look forward to working with again in the future."
Grant Thornton provided corporate finance advice to the founders.
