ex-CRS boss returns to recruitment beat
Suzanne Ramsay (pictured), who led a £14m management buyout of Scotland’s largest independent recruitment consultancy, has returned to the sector and set up her own company specialising in financial services, accountancy, and oil and energy.
In 2006 she headed the buyout of Change CRS (Now Change Recruitment Group) - the first time a woman had led a purchase of that size in the Scottish recruitment industry. She left Change last year with the group’s turnover at almost £15m and having placed almost 1,900 candidates a year worldwide.
Her new company, Zed Recruitment (www.zedrecruitment.com), is based in Edinburgh and handles international as well as UK posts.
Suzanne started recruiting accountants in London in 1984 for a national company. Returning to Scotland three years later, she set up offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow for that recruitment business.
As director of a smaller specialist consultancy, she was the first to launch a specialist financial services/investments recruitment operation in Scotland in 1991.
She commented: “I’m looking forward to using my experience and contacts for the benefit of clients in areas I know well. Zed won’t be trying to be the biggest but will instead focus on providing value.
“My team is already working with businesses which have exciting operations in the UK and globally, and need top quality staff to match their ambitions and who will contribute to their employer’s success in the long term.”
