GCS recognised for success
Reading-based GCS has recently received several notable distinctions.
These include a highly commended accolade in the Business of the Year category at the 2013 Thames Valley Business Magazine Awards. This marks the third year of the last four that the technology and financial services recruitment specialist group has been a finalist in this category. In previous years, GCS has also received multiple nominations in the Best Training Programme, Best Management Team and Best Company to Work for categories, winning the latter as well as Business of the Year in 2010.
"We still proudly display our TVBMA trophies as the motivational impact they have had on our company cannot be overstated" says GCS chairman Chris Bartlett. "To have been highly commended again this year tells us that we are maintaining the high standard synonymous with the best companies in the Thames Valley - standards that are also clearly evident in the other category finalists. The judges selected a very worthy winner this year in Westcoast."
GCS was also recently a finalist in two categories at the National Online Recruitment Awards, where the company's new and vastly improved website was nominated for Best Medium Recruitment Business and Best Small Employer trophies. To see the award-nominated website, visit www.gcsltd.com.
GCS managing director said, "It is, of course, encouraging to see that we have managed to improve our standing amongst UK recruitment companies over the last 12 months" says GCS managing director David Bloxham, "but, just as importantly, this list allows us to see the trends year-on-year of other companies within our sector to make sure that we are remaining competitive."
