Career Moves Group take part in Santa charity run
Staff at the company ran distances of 5 and 10 kilometres for Starlight, a charity that focuses on providing incredible experiences for terminally ill children.
The 14-strong Career Moves Group team joined thousands of other Santas running for good causes at the event in Victoria Park, East London.
Head of PR Moves, Eleanor Karadimitriadis, held one of the fastest running times of the morning, completing the 10km in just 53 minutes.
There was lots of jovial banter throughout the run and the charity showed their appreciation for the funds raised,- by holding a reception after the run to thank the participants with warming drinks and snacks.
Starlight, the charity Career Moves Group has supported throughout 2013, brightens the lives of seriously and terminally ill children by granting them wishes. It also provides fun, entertainment, laughter and distraction for children in every children's hospital ward and hospice throughout the UK.
This year the conpany have already raised over £3,000 for The Starlight Charity by arranging fundraising events in and out of the office. They have also participated in a superhero fun run, held international food days, office bake-offs and a range of recycling initiatives, from clothing to printer toners!
It’s still not too late to donate to make these children’s dreams come true, by helping to raise as much money as possible for this very special cause.
