MP visits digital recruitment specialist

Robinson, who has held his seat for almost 30 years and was Paymaster General in Tony Blair’s Government, visited West Midlands-based Kaonix to see what the company was doing to help tackle worklessness.

Kaonix was launched 13 years ago and, during that time, it has developed a series of digital recruitment solutions that have revolutionised how companies recruit their workforce as well as how people access employment opportunities.

The company currently works with a host of blue chip companies and local authorities that have embraced its web-cruit system that massively reduces recruitment costs and resources by automating much of the process around each organisation’s exact specifications.

The company has also developed a suite of complementary software including the Kaonix welfare2work application – that automatically searches the UK’s top internet job sites every day and matches vacancies with applicants - that has been developed for use by both jobseekers and employers.

Managing director Stuart Mockford said the company had a strong track record in not only delivering recruitment solutions for business but also in helping individuals access the employment market.

He said, “Our business is committed to developing innovative solutions across the whole spectrum of employment and this work is particularly pertinent in the current economic environment.

“The range of software we already offer provides a host of services to jobseekers in an incredibly competitive marketplace and we are developing new products that we believe will continue to enhance the job-seeking experience.

“One of our most recent innovations is Worktrack, an online tool developed in partnership with CASCAiD, which allows advisors to access thousands of vacancies while enabling them to monitor, track and manage their jobseekers’ progress in finding work.”

Robinson said he was impressed by the innovative systems being developed at Kaonix and said it was important jobseekers where given every possible opportunity to find employment.

He commented, “Not only is this an excellent company that is itself growing, it is also playing a key role in supporting jobseekers and those looking to recruit. In Coventry we are currently seeing hundreds of people apply for available jobs so any system that can improve access to vacancies and give jobseekers a better chance of finding employment has to be commended.”
