Omega makes executive appointment
Towers will be focusing on developing the quality, personnel and processes at the award-winning business to deliver profitable growth already earmarked to deliver a £38m turnover for 2013.
For the past five months as divisional director Rick Towers has focused on internal leadership development and customer excellence - both crucial to delivering sustainable profit for the group.
He was drawn to the role due to Omega's stringent commitment to keeping people at the centre of the business despite exponential growth since the company started trading in 1998.
Towers said, "Under the direction of its three directors Omega has developed a reputation for entrepreneurial flair - the business is set on a positive trajectory with phenomenal potential for the future. This clear drive for success and growth combined with its adherence to keeping clients and employees as a central focus made the decision to make the move to Omega a great career choice as it fits in well with how I feel a business should develop."
Over the past 10 years Towers' has established a track record for developing strong relationships with organisations' people and its customers. This has been evidenced already through Towers' implementation of an & lsquo;at desk coaching scheme' and rotational workshops to reinvest in the team at Omega. Towers added, "For me, the future of recruitment is in delivering a premium, differentiated service with increased specialisation.
Such specialisation in vertical sectors will provide a more tailored service for our clients already successfully implemented across markets served by Omega including advanced manufacturing, technical, engineering, energy and infrastructure. By developing people, refining the structure and honing the current skills that our recruiters and leaders have will only lead to a stronger partnership and fuel profitable growth that is fun and exciting to be a part of."
Before joining Omega, Towers spent five years as UK director of customer excellence at Robert Half, and nine years in various senior management positions at TMP Worldwide where he joined from his first career move at Endsleigh Insurance. Always an ambassador for supporting his people & clients and delivering financial growth, Towers sees this as an exciting fresh challenge.
James Strickland, group sales director of Omega Resource Group, commented, "Rick has been a truly fantastic addition to the team. His drive for success and dedication to investing in our staff and clients is highly evident. Not only is profitability up by 40% over the last three months but we have promoted four members of staff due to their commitment to further career development and we have won new strategic customers."
"Through efficiently engaging with key stakeholders, international manufacturers and new customers we will be continuing to push the boundaries of success. Over the next two to three years we hope to build on the work we have already put in motion and Rick Towers is central to this development with our aim to be an innovator and to constantly lead from the front in a highly competitive industry."
