Roaring trade for Bromak's expanding Durham branch

The Durham branch of built environment training and recruitment specialist Bromak has become the firm’s fastest growing centre and has accelerated its expansion as a result.

Despite opening its doors for the first time just eight months ago, the Durham office has seen such an increase in client numbers that it has already taken on two new employees and promoted one of its key members of staff.

Rachel Scott has been made senior recruitment consultant, a role which will see her focusing on white collar and management positions.

Scott has been heavily involved with the growth of the branch and will continue to liaise with local firms and large national organisations to identify and pursue business development opportunities.

She will be supported by new recruits Chris Sinclair, who joins as recruitment consultant, and Kayleigh Harper, who will assist the team as admin resourcer.

Sinclair comes from a sales background within a family-run business where he worked closely with local authorities across the North East.

Harper originally joined Bromak as an apprentice and impressed managers by passing her NVQ Level 2 in business administration at an above average rate, leading the firm to offer her a full time position.

Dave Brooks, managing director at Bromak, said, “The Durham branch has increased its numbers by 500 per cent, and this is rising on a month to month basis.

“Such rapid growth in a short space of time has made it necessary to bring in more staff, especially when you take into account that our growth is mirrored by positive developments in the wider built environment industry.

“Rachel was instrumental in the development of this branch in its infancy and has laid excellent foundations upon which our new recruits can build.

“Chris’s experience working with local authorities directly complements the amount of work we’re doing in the social and affordable housing sector, and Kayleigh showed extremely strong potential during her apprenticeship which will undoubtedly continue in her new role.”

Bromak opened the Durham office to deliver a personal service to its customers in the region.

Bromak’s network also includes offices in Bolton, Liverpool, Sheffield, Durham, Lichfield and Watford.
