Apprentice launches career with LH Consumer Health and Beauty
Conor Firth, aged 19 from Leeds was taken on by award winning LH Consumer Health and Beauty -one of the UK’s leading specialist personal care and beauty recruitment agencies - as an apprentice giving him the opportunity to get paid while he learns a trade, undertake an NVQ qualification and gain crucial on-the-job experience.
Conor, who attended Bruntcliffe High School, has gone from strength to strength within the company and in a matter of just nine months has achieved a NVQ level 3 in Business Administration, brought in a handful of major clients including Revlon and has been promoted to a Trainee Consultant.
Emma Howarth, Founder of LH Consumer Health and Beauty said, "With over a million 16-24-year-olds unemployed in the UK, it is vital firms continue to invest in young people to ensure we have skilled workers for the future.
"In a highly competitive job market, work experience is as important as qualifications and an apprenticeship gives people both. It's a viable option for those who don't want to get into debt paying high university tuition fees.
“In return for Conor’s hard work and determination we can equip him for a rewarding career in an exciting and challenging industry. We provide comprehensive training and back our workers with the best support in the business.”
Conor Firth added, “I heard about the Apprenticeship scheme from Key Training and I was really excited to hear that I could gain a NVQ Qualification as well as work experience. The fact that I now have my dream job in a thriving company is a massive bonus.”
