Bubble Jobs break record

Bubble Jobs, launched in 2011, saw a huge increase in the number of jobs advertised on their site over the last 12 months on behalf of a number of specialist recruiters and major brands like House of Fraser, Accenture and Topshop.

In addition to breaking their own record for jobs advertised, the site also attracted more than a million visitors in 2013 and more than 13.5 million page views.

Of the site’s 1.1 million visitors, over a third were unique visitors, suggesting the board is massively increasing its reach and appeal across the country as the digital industry continues to expand and attract new candidates.

Managing Director Adam Butwilowski said that the statistics were testament to the predictions by the European Commission regarding the growth of digital jobs.

He commented, “The 2013 statistics for Bubble Jobs are fantastic, and prove that we are a first choice destination for the best digital jobs in the country.

“Last year, the European Commission predicted that there will be 900,000 IT-related vacancies by 2015 with the number of & lsquo;digital jobs’ growing by about 100,000 every year.

“It’s fair to say that quite a few of those will be advertised on Bubble!”

Of the 55,000 digital jobs advertised on the independent board, the average job attracted more than 250 views, suggesting that despite the European Commission’s suggestion that there is an e-skills shortage on the continent competition in the industry is still tough.

Butwilowski said, “E-skills are more in demand now than ever, but candidates are also more skilled than they have ever been.

“We see a huge amount of interest in the jobs we advertise, so to say the industry is struggling is ridiculous.

“The quality of applications for vacancies advertised on our site is at an all-time high, and I predict that this will only get better in 2014.”

In addition to the main jobs board, Bubble Jobs also saw major interest in their Digital Career Portal in 2013 – a free-to-use online resource launched in September 2012 which aims to help educate young people about the possibility of a career in the rapidly growing digital sector.

Butwilowski said, “2014 is going to be another exciting and busy year for the team at Bubble Jobs.

“In addition to further growth and expansion we’ll also be launching some great new initiatives including new website features, digital industry events and a new smartphone app which will help us to better connect with our digital audience.”
