Digital trends perception holds back growth
71 per cent of in-house recruiters surveyed believe that their business is up to date with the latest digital trends. However, 67 per cent of digital professionals do not agree that in-house businesses are fully up to date, compared to agencies, with evolving digital trends and the different strands of digital marketing.
This disconnect was thought to be one of the reasons why online businesses are experiencing alarming staff attrition rates. 87 per cent of in-house recruitment is to replace outgoing employees, and digital marketers are on average, only remaining in an in-house position for a year.
As online business is one of the fastest growing business markets – it is imperative that it remains on top of the innovative digital industry to attract the very best in digital marketing.
The research was compiled by award winning digital marketing recruitment agency, The Candidate. The specialist recruitment experts aim to provide in-house recruitment teams with insights and knowledge into the digital sphere.
Commenting on the research, managing partner, Colin Telford said, "Although I know of online businesses that are on top of digital trends. It is clear from our research that the agencies are perceived, by digital professionals, as the place to be to learn innovative digital skills.
