HCL Nursing confirmed as Tier 1 supplier to Southend University Hospital
Southend University Hospital is part of the HTE Southern Framework which includes a number of trusts across the south east.
HCL Nursing’s associate director Olivia Spruce said that HCL Nursing will supply locum nurses to the Essex Trust over the next three years.
She said, "With the announcement of the new minimum safe staffing levels, trusts have had to address their current critical staff shortages. We understand the current scarcity of qualified nurses is having an impact on the health and well-being of current nursing staff and we are there to support nurses as much as the Trust itself."
Spruce added, "Given the Trust’s need for quality, cost-effective and compliant staff we are confident that we will be able to serve the Trust and in doing so the community."
The Trust maintains nearly 700 beds, serving a population of almost 350,000. With 1,210 nurses, HCL Nursing will be supporting its existing and future substantive nursing staff.
As one of the largest agencies in the market place, HCL Nursing is a preferred framework agency to a large number of hospitals and procurement departments across the UK.
