Belgium - Federgon reports further increase inactivity in January interim

This increase resulted from uneven development in two segments: the number of hours worked increased by 1.78% on the side of workers and decreased by -1.29% on the employee side.
Compared to January of the previous year, the staffing industry grew by 2.85% (against 0.42% in December 2013). This figure is the result of an increase of 7.58% in the segment of the workers and a decrease of -2.78% in the segment of employees.
The index reached Federgon 210.5 points in January 2014 against 209.5 points in December. This index reflects the level of activity during the current month compared to January 1995 (base 100), in seasonally adjusted figures.
