Berry Recruitment joins FTA scheme

The official launch was announced by Transport Minister Robert Goodwill at the F.T.A/ Department for Transport’s “Listening to Industry” event and many leading freight and logistics industry representatives were in attendance. The Scheme has been three years in development and recognises the achievement of stringent standards by a select group of members.

To attain accreditation Berry Recruitment was asked to undertake a rigorous, two stage selection process. Firstly the Company completed an F.T.A. inspector audit in relation to its driver recruitment, driver management and core business practices. Following a faultless audit, the F.T.A. then conducted a customer satisfaction survey in relation to Berry Recruitment’s current driving clients. Berry passed this with flying colours and has now been awarded a Scheme Governance Group position.

Berry Recruitment’s business development director, Spencer Berry, commented, “We have been happy to contribute to the F.T.A.’s Driver Agency Accreditation Scheme from the early stages and always recognised its importance. The F.T.A. provides a highly respected transport sector voice and its keen interest in agency performance reflects the importance of this area to its operator members. To join the Scheme agencies need to demonstrate and maintain the very highest standards and we believe our membership is a clear demonstration of our quality in a sector where safety and specialist knowledge are vital.”
