Boyden to join 2014 Mining Indaba in full force
Fay Voysey-Smit, managing partner of Boyden Sub Saharan Africa, Michael Catlow, managing partner of Boyden Australia & New Zealand, and John Byrne, managing partner of Boyden Chile will attend the Mining Indaba, taking place February 3-6.
The Indaba will include speakers from Anglo American, MAN Diesel & Turbo, Rio Tinto, Teck Resources and other major companies as well as distinguished government officials from across Africa and around the globe.
Boyden’s participation is part of the firm’s strong commitment to mining to meet clients’ growing global needs in an industry where the demand for talent continues to surpass supply. The firm specialises in drawing candidates to opportunities outside traditional geographic regions.
“The challenges for companies to secure the right talent are particularly acute in the current complex environment,” said Ms Voysey-Smit. “Boyden’s partners from Australia to Canada and South America and across to South Africa bring great intelligence to the challenge of senior leadership and project directorship as well as the expertise needed to determine which men and women will be the right fit within the culture and scope of the client’s project portfolios.”
Boyden’s mining team also includes Andy Baggus, a partner of Boyden UK, and Patrick Reynolds, a partner of Boyden Canada. The group is comprised of French, German, Mandarin, Portuguese and Spanish speakers.
Later this year, Boyden will be participating in other key global mining conferences including PDAC in Toronto in March, Expomin 2014 in Santiago, Chile in April, and IMEX2014 in Las Vegas in September.
