Career Moves Group manager to run charity half marathon
Sarah Savage will take part in a grueling 22km run over hill and dale. The event, now in its 33rd year, is organised by Brentwood a Becket Rotary Club purely for charity. Savage is fundraising for SNAP as she has first hand experience of how it has helped families in the Essex area.
Savage says that she is going to run, “With my sister and a group of other moms who have personally been supported by this wonderful charity SNAP”.
SNAP was founded 20 years ago by eight families as a support group to address the lack of relevant provision and assistance for parents of young children with disabilities.
The charity supports families who have children with special needs between the ages of 0 and 25 who live in Essex. To date SNAP has supported over 3,100 families in Essex with a range of specialist services.
Hilary Needham, manager at SNAP, says, “We are very grateful that Sarah and her team of active mums are running the half marathon in aid of SNAP. We will be there to wave them off and wish them the best of luck.”
