Core-Asset Consulting appoints company accountant
Aim joins Core-Asset on 10 February and will be responsible for providing financial direction, as well as leading the creation of a finance team. She was previously finance business partner at Virgin Money in Edinburgh.
Reporting directly to Betsy Williamson, managing director, Aim will work alongside the senior management team in a number of projects geared around imbedding systems, improving financial controls and providing robust management information.
Aim's appointment brings to 20 the total number of employees at Core-Asset Consulting, an increase of 75% in less than 12 months.
Betsy Williamson, managing director of Core-Asset Consulting, said, “Given Core-Asset Consulting’s success over the last nine years, we’ve now reached a point in our development where we require greater internal control of our finances. Further growth from this point onwards is only achievable and sustainable with a strong infrastructure. As a result, we are realigning our business so that much of our previously outsourced support services are brought in-house. Fiona’s appointment represents a key part of this strategy.
“Fiona is exactly the type of person who will succeed within a business like Core-Asset Consulting. She is professional, highly skilled, enthusiastic and creative. I’ve no doubt she’ll be an excellent addition to our senior management team and the business as a whole.”
Commenting on her appointment, Aim said, “I’m very excited to be joining Core-Asset Consulting, a company which is clearly a leader within its industry. As it grows in size and influence, Core-Asset looks set to change the perceptions of the recruitment sector. I’m very much looking forward to playing my part in its future success.”
