Great start to the quarter, but sluggish finish Says Uniflex
"In Sweden we started the quarter strongly, but towards the end we noticed again an unstable demand from our customers. This combined with the holidays in December, meant we had some unplaced Consultants which hit the quarter operating profit . We know that when the economy turns upwards it will increase our sales and profits. So far we have not seen any stable economic upturn without demand for our services is still jerky, "says Jan Bengtsson CEO of Uniflex.
" In Norway, we have to thank good sales work and good cost control to achieve both growth and profit in the fourth quarter. We estimate that we will continue to grow and make money in Norway, continues Jan Bengtsson.
"On March 1 , we took our acquired operations in Germany. Revenue continues to grow
and during the fourth quarter to nearly 13 million. The operating result was a loss of
SEK 2.7 million , which is lower than expected. The reason is that we have made some changes within administration which has led to redundancy costs and also to German customers during
between days showed the same restraint in their orders as we noted in Sweden.
Our earlier assessment that we will make profits in Germany from the full year 2014 remains unchanged. In Finland, sales have not increased as we had expected , and operating income is still negative," added Jan Bengtsson.
