ARM’s report, based on data collected through interviews with CIOs, IT Directors and consultants, offers a qualitative view on the current market, a salary survey, plus the panel’s predictions for recruitment trends in 2014.
Key findings include:
· The greatest challenges facing businesses are data management and security, cloud services, bring your own device (BYOD), and mobile technologies
· The most exciting opportunities are offered by mobile, the cloud, open source databases, predictive analytics and 4G
· Issues with staff retention and attraction are widespread, and are set to continue as demand for cross-domain skills increases
