Head of Career Moves completes half marathon in aid of childrens disability charity
The Head of Career Moves (Media) Career Moves Group’s support recruitment division ran the 22km distance in two hours and five minutes.
She ran alongside a small team of mums in mild conditions and together they raised £2,500 for SNAP. The Brentwood half marathon now in its 33rd year was organised by Brentwood a Becket Rotary Club purely for charity. There were circa 2,430 half marathon runners and Sarah was one of the 80 fundraising for SNAP as she has first hand experience of how it has helped families in the Essex area.
SNAP was founded 20 years ago by eight families as a support group to address the lack of relevant provision and assistance for parents of young children with disabilities. The charity supports families who have children with special needs between the ages of 0 and 25 who live in Essex. To date SNAP has supported over 3,100 families in Essex with a range of specialist services.
Hilary Needham, Manager, SNAP, said, “We are thrilled that Sarah and her team of active Mums ran the half marathon in aid of SNAP They trained very hard and we are very grateful to them for the funds that they have raised for SNAP,”
