Prodrill MD named IoD Aberdeen & Grampian Regional Director of the Year

The awards, which were held at Glasgow’s Crowne Plaza Hotel and received a keynote address from The Rt Hon Alex Salmond MSP, First Minister, aim to recognise directors from all sectors and celebrate success, ambition and excellence in the profession of directorship and leadership.

Having surpassed tough competition from Peter Bruce, chief executive officer of Enti&eacuter Ltd and Robin Watson, chief executive at Wood Group PSN, Wood was crowned category winner by BBC broadcaster and host Kaye Adams, bolstering her position as a leading business figurehead in Scotland.

Mike MacDonald, Prodrill business development director, who collected the award on Louise’s behalf, commented, “This is a fantastic achievement for Louise as she celebrates a landmark 25 years in the recruitment sector this year.

“Her expertise, enthusiasm and determination for success has worked to identify and uphold her as an aspirational figure to many others in the Scottish business community. Not only has she applied her knowledge and expertise to underpin Prodrill as an expert in its field, but she has also lent her skills, externally, to mentor and support several female entrepreneurs as they journey towards their own success.

“To be named top Aberdeen and Grampian regional director against such admirable competitors is something we are also all very proud of at Prodrill. Not only is this a personal achievement, but it also continues to bolster our company position as a leading oilfield consultancy.

“Investment in the training and development of our people is something which Louise, and the whole board of directors, has been keen to drive forward since the company’s inception. We strive to equip all staff with a well-rounded sector education in order to provide our clients and consultants with an unrivalled service.

“To have Louise at the helm, driving this ethos forward has had a direct impact on the business, driving our reputation forward.

“On behalf of all staff at Prodrill, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Louise on her win tonight.”
