Retail Human Resources given 3* in Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work For
Placed 68th overall, the independent & lsquo;Best Companies’ accreditation is regarded as among the UK’s most reliable and thorough processes for assessing the merits of organisations from all sectors in terms of the way they encourage, motivate and engage with their employees.
The factors assessed in the survey included leadership (how employees feel about the head of the company and senior managers) and wellbeing (how staff feel about pressure levels and the balance between work and home life) as well as workers' views on their immediate boss, their colleagues, scope for advancement and their pay and conditions. Staff were also asked how much they believe their firm puts back into society and the local community.
Peter Burgess, RHR’s Managing Director comments: ““We are obviously thrilled with this public recognition of our work to create an environment in which staff can develop and reach their full potential – we aim to be the platform for their ambitions. The feedback we get from our employees is that this is an exceptional place to work – and that’s now reflected in these results.”
Peter continues: “We employ exceptional people who do difficult projects which they execute very fast,” says Burgess. “Our role as an employer is to provide an environment in which they can grow to their full potential – and reward them according to their development and achievements. We treat staff as individuals, and always strive to give them the flexibility they need to get the correct work/life balance.”
The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For awards celebration were held at Battersea Evolution, Battersea Park in London on the evening of Wednesday 26th February.
