Young Rail Professional Award nomination for Morson Groups Matthew Leavis
The event will be held at London’s Grand Connaught Rooms, with Mike Brown, managing director of London Underground delivering this year’s keynote speech.
Leavis's nomination follows a challenging few months ensuring the safeguarding and security of hundreds of young apprentices’ programmes after the skills company, Vital Skills and Training went into administration. Matthew was instrumental in sourcing new training providers, often going & lsquo;above and beyond the call of duty’ to ensure successful outcomes for the apprentices in his care.
Leavis said, “It’s an honour to have been shortlisted for such a prestigious award, especially as there were such a large number nominated. I am thrilled that everyone has pulled together to help our apprentices and safeguard the training of the engineers of the future."

He has combined his enthusiasm with professionalism and demonstrated control to give all stakeholders confidence in a successful outcome.”
