Athona Recruitment has chosen Little Havens Hospice as their Charity of the Year. Over the course of a year, Athona employees will raise vitally needed funds for Little Havens through various fundraising activities. It is estimated that it will cost over £2.5 million in 2013/14 to continue to provide the service Little Havens offer.
Little Havens Hospice opened in March 1998 as a result of the founders of Fair Havens Hospice identifying a need for children’s hospice care in Essex for life-limited children and their families throughout the journey of their illness. At the hospice, parents, carers and siblings benefit immeasurably from the home-from-home environment, in which they can take a break from the strain of constant care, and concentrate on being a family.
Little Havens Hospice is part of Havens Hospices, which incorporates Fair Havens Hospice for adults.
Athona is a specialist recruitment provider to the medical, education, health and nursing markets.
