Capita appoints sales director

This pivotal role is responsible for driving the recruitment business’ commercial strategy as well as business development and sales across three brands:  Capita Managed Services, The Write Research Company, its talent acquisition research arm and Security Watchdog – a market leading brand offering pre-employment screening services.

O'Neil's appointment reflects the business’ drive for growth and strategy for positioning Capita as a leading and trusted provider in the recruitment outsourcing and talent management industry.

O'Neil has a demonstrable track record of business transformation and his appointment will see him pioneer the formation and delivery of innovative recruitment solutions for large corporate organisations.

Prior to joining Capita, O'Neil spent many years as an officer in The British Army.  He went onto launching his own business, Dome Recruitment Ltd – a leading UK-based IT recruitment business.  In 1998 he joined the senior management team at Security Watchdog (a UK-based company offering pre-employment screening services). O'Neil was instrumental in Security Watchdog’s success and the brand is now a market leader in the EMEA region.

O'Neil's wealth of expertise, leadership acumen and a focus on customer-oriented recruitment solutions is helping Capita Managed Services to move closer to satisfying its vision of being one of the UK’s leading workforce transformation providers.

O'Neil commented, “I’m passionate about transforming our clients’ recruitment operations – not only from the perspective of driving efficiencies and saving our clients’ money but also by delivering better business outcomes.  We recognise our strengths as a recruitment outsourcing business and are placing greater emphasis on those, listening to what HR leaders are telling us they need and developing our service proposition.  I am delighted to be driving sales, service proposition development and marketing initiatives for this business. There has never been a greater appetite for change - fundamentally to meet the evolving needs of the industry - but also importantly for us as a team to get ahead of the game.”

Capita remains the first accredited business in the sector to have achieved the BS 11000 standard for collaborative working, a partnership methodology that is truly embedded into its culture and underpins every aspect of operations.
