Classpeople take on financial apprentice
Daniel Ewing, 19, from Wyman's Brook in Cheltenham, joins Classpeople as part of an apprenticeship scheme with Gloucestershire College.
Ewing chose to undertake an apprenticeship as it would give him the on-the-job training as well as the relevant qualifications to develop his career in the finance industry.
He commented: "I'm thrilled to be working with Classpeople - not only is this the perfect opportunity for me to take the first step in my career in finance, the company's commitment to integrity and empathy makes it a great business to work for."
During the course of the year Ewing will work towards achieving an intermediate apprenticeship in Business and Administration consisting of an NVQ Certificate in Business and Administration Level 2 and a BTEC Certificate in Principles of Business Administration Level 2.
Ewing will be using the apprenticeship as a platform to launch his career in finance and to decide which area of the sector he wishes to specialise in.
He added, "I'd like to use this apprenticeship to develop my career in accounting. I look forward to working alongside financial manager, James Woodman, in learning the financial side behind running a recruitment business."
Lynis Bassett, managing director of Classpeople, added, "We are delighted to welcome Daniel to our business. With our growth over the last year, expanding into Bristol, Exeter, Worcester and Ireland, we felt it was the perfect time to strengthen our financial team. We've taken on apprentices in the past and have been very pleased with their performance. Additionally, with the help of Gloucestershire College, each apprentice is able to gain the necessary qualifications meaning when they complete the apprenticeship they have both theoretical and practical knowledge to lead a successful career in their chosen sector."
Communications manager of Gloucestershire College, Michelle Louth, commented, "Apprenticeships are an ideal opportunity for young people to gain experience and qualifications to jump-start their career. We look forward to working with Classpeople to help Daniel forge his future in finance."
