FP&S sign national agreement for logistics support
The company, which manages truck and trailer parts for commercial vehicles, will tap into Drivers Direct’s national network of commercial vehicle drivers to assist with deliveries to customers.
Germaine Cox, FP&S’s HR Manager, said: “Our business is built on giving excellent service and ensuring customers receive their supplies as soon as they need them – so ensuring we have a quality delivery network is a vital part of what we do.
“We have chosen to work with Drivers Direct because they can provide us with nationwide coverage as we need it and are flexible and cost effective. Drivers Direct are not a typical high street agency because whilst they are a national company, they still maintain the personal touch and care about service.”
The national agreement covers all of FP&S’s 19 sites across England and Scotland including: Glasgow, Cumbria, Newcastle, Teesside, Leyland, Felixstowe, Milton Keynes, Barking, Ellesmere Port, Wolverhampton, Tamworth, Peterborough, Dereham, Avonmouth, Southampton and Cullompton.
Drivers Direct supply professional HGV drivers to assist companies with their transport and logistics needs and have recently become one of the first driver agencies in the country to be awarded a certificate as part of the new Driver Agency Accreditation Scheme, developed by the Freight Transport Association (FTA).
Jamie Coan, Sales and Development Director for Drivers Direct, said: “We are delighted that such a well-respected company as FP&S have chosen to use our services, and we are looking forward to working with them over the coming months and supplying van drivers for their branch network.”
Drivers Direct has 17 centres across the UK as part of its strategic network supplying HGV drivers to transport and logistics companies. The company has grown steadily in recent years and its success is built on providing a high quality service for customers.
