Outsource celebrated for support of college students
Outsource UK, a specialist IT and engineering recruiter based in Swindon, has been involved with both the IT and Business Careers Academies programme for several years. The Academy programmes were set up by the College for students to help bridge the gap between education and business.
The award was presented at the College’s annual awards ceremony, to Outsource’s Recruitment and Training Manager Anna Stretch, by guest of honour Oli Christie CEO of Neon Play.
Cirencester College Principal Kim Clifford said: “Paul Jameson and his whole team have been hugely supportive of the Career Academies programme in every aspect including the development of young people through mentoring, interviewing and internships. The culture within Outsource is one of recognising and developing young talent. They certainly deserve this award.”
Outsource’s Anna Stretch sits on the college’s Business Academy Board and has been involved in events such as speed interviewing. Staff at Outsource mentor several young people from the college and the company provide regular internships for students.
Paul Jameson, managing director of Outsource said, “We’re very proud of our long association with Cirencester College and Anna Stretch has done a great job in leading this partnership. We have been able to pass on experience in terms of CV preparation and interview skills. We have also helped many students gain exposure to the real world of work, something that we believe is vital in order for young people to make informed decisions about their future careers. We’re absolutely delighted to have been given the award of Best Employer Contribution to the College.”
