Second Queens Award for Penta Consulting
Awarded by the Queen, on the advice of the Prime Minister, the Queen’s Award is the UK’s highest accolade for business success and Penta is the only technical recruitment company ever to have achieved this twice (2006 and 2014).
Based in Wallington, Surrey, Penta supplies highly skilled technical staff to over 90% of the telecommunications industry worldwide and has received the Award in the International Trade category, in recognition of having achieved increased year-on-year international business growth and the way the company has embraced and delivered innovation in a fiercely competitive market.
Established in 1998 Penta has handled operations in over 126 different countries around the world and seen its international business grow from £21.3m to £34.4m over the past three years. As Jamie Sobrany Managing Director explains: “We have a business model that is difficult for our competitors to replicate and our strong presence across the Middle East and Africa and our well established network of contacts enable us to deliver outstanding and unparalleled services across the world.”
Paul Clark, CEO and co-founder of Penta said. “It is a remarkable honour for us all to be celebrating a Queen’s Award for the second time and it’s tremendous recognition for the outstanding team working at Penta both here in the UK and overseas. As a relatively small company with 80 staff we are extremely proud to be flying the flag for UK business all over the world, particularly in the emerging markets and helping to boost the UK economy. It also shows that we are on the right track in terms of our business strategy and customer focus.
Along with all our contractors across the world, our head office team in Wallington take great pride in the quality of service we offer our clients, and this award is also testament to their hard work and dedication. We are grateful to our customers, candidates and our staff for making Penta such a success both in the UK and internationally.”
Next month the Penta team will be formally presented with their award by the Lord-Lieutenant for Sutton and two members of staff will also attend a reception at Buckingham Palace in July.
