Select Appointments welcomes optimistic REC Jobs Outlook

The March report from REC reveals that the proportion of employers who plan to increase headcount is at the highest levels since the survey began in March 2011. It also showed that nearly half of all employers (48%) intend to increase use of agency workers in both the short and medium term and more than three-quarters of employers plan to take on more permanent staff.

David Buist, director of franchise development at Select Appointments said, “The REC report paints a very optimistic picture for the economy and future employment prospects. At Select we put a lot of emphasis on training to deliver outstanding service so it was gratifying to see that the report highlighted the fact that quality of service was one of the prime factors employers used to select a recruitment agency to cover temporary positions.”

He added, “I believe the report indicates that there has never been a better time to consider setting up a recruitment business as there is clearly going to be a high demand for high quality recruitment services now and in the future. We offer a wide range of franchise options from running an office-based franchise to running an agency from a home office. Whether you are already in recruitment or brand new to the field we provide the support and back up to enable you to run a successful and profitable recruitment agency.”
